About Me:

I am a wife, mom of 3 teenagers, and I love to read. I do not limit myself to one genre, but do have some that I prefer. Depending on my mood I will choose a book from RomCom, Romance, Dark Romance, Suspense/Thriller, YA, NA, and SciFi/Fantasy. I would love to share the books I read with you so that you may enjoy them too!

It takes so much courage for an author to put their work out there for the public to read. Then to subject themselves to the opinions of those readers. You will not find disrespectful reviews on this page. Even if a book is not for me, it may be something someone else enjoys. I will not belittle or be nasty to any author, regardless of subject matter. No bashing of person or writing will be tolerated.

My goal by creating this blog is to help authors get their books noticed and to help introduce readers to authors they may not usually read.

Also, please note that any links contained on this website I DO NOT profit from. I do receive advanced reader copies of some of the books I review, but I promise to never let that sway my true feelings on the piece of work.

I am willing to help out as many authors/PAs/promotion companies as I can, but please know that my calendar doesn't always allow for a certain time frame. Please feel free to contact me and I can see if I am able to help. This is a one woman show ;) You can visit my Facebook Page (Like/Follow) at https://www.facebook.com/Reading-Escape-Reviews-279044492594921/ and my email is readingescapereviews@gmail.com

Thank you for stopping by! Oh, and be sure to get on the 2017 Goodreads Reading Challenge. I will be asking periodically for your actual and goal number!

This captivating sequel to Entropy is a provocative journey through the complex world of physical and virtual sexuality.

A chance meeting brings Sir and Lisa together after five years. But Sir is in a budding relationship and Lisa’s life is in chaos. Could a radical change in Sir’s situation finally let things work between them? Gravity is a complex and moving exploration of the turmoil older people face bringing romance and commitment back to single life.

Entropy
Lisa is married and lonely.  When her marriage is leaving her desiring more, she stumbles upon "Sir" via Twitter.  As her and "Sir" develop a relationship from afar, Lisa has to decide if being a submissive is something that she can handle.  Entropy opens your eyes to the different aspects of the BDSM relationship that not only challenges the participants psychologically, buy emotionally.  I thought the author did a wonderful job with the story and portraying the BDSM world in a respectful way.  It will be interesting to see what happens with Lisa and "Sir" in the next book!  I am giving Entropy 4 stars!

Duality
In Duality Lisa and Sir are working on their lives together as a couple.  However, when Sir needs more, he starts breaking in new submissives.  I think this is where I started getting frustrated with the story.  I am not an expert in BDSM, but I just felt that this was pushing the believe-ability of the story a little bit.  I learned real quick to despise Sir and wasn't very excited by the end, but knowing there is still one more book, I'm holding out hope!  I am giving Duality 3.5 stars!

Gravity

In Gravity, Sir has tamed his dominant lifestyle, while still showing some dominant traits, he has let go of that lifestyle.  Lisa is still mastering her own self discovery.  When Sir and Lisa are reunited by chance, they will soon figure out if they have grown in a way that can bring them together.  Or, if they were passing ships in the night.  Gravity wraps up the Entropy series in a pretty little bow.  I still found myself disliking Sir and thinking he never really got over his selfishness.  Overall the Entropy series was well written, I think I just found Sir to be a bit of a creeper. I am giving Gravity 4 stars!

Joshua Edward Smith is the author of three novels (Entropy, Duality, and Gravity), several shorter works, and innumerable blog posts and tweets. He is also a technology executive, jazz musician, ballroom dancer, father of three, and husband. He lives in central Massachusetts.
