My Review:

Brooke is a prostitute, but she has no choice.  Without a high school education or GED, she can't get a good paying job to help with her debts.  She didn't want to sell herself, but she knew once her debts were paid, she'd be done.  Until Derrick LaClaire walked into her white room.  Then her world was turned upside down.  She hates him and never planned on seeing him again.  

I loved LaClaire Touch, the story line may have some sensitive subject matter matter, so please be aware of that.  Both Brooke and Derrick have issues throughout the story that have to be dealt with.  The characters were both strong and that is why they butted heads so much.  I am giving LaClair Touch 4.5 stars!  It was a wonderfully written book and I have loved Dori Lavalle's work since her Fatal Hearts series.

Reading the words printed in the papers. None of it can prepare me for what's to come. 
My biggest lesson is learning that some memories we suppress for a reason.

As with most books written by Ker Dukey, nothing is ever as it seems.  You have to be ready and you have to prepared for the twisted crazy she brings to life in her characters.  Yes, there are triggers, but that is her writing style, and something I wouldn't expect her to change.  If you want a fairy tale, you're in the wrong genre.  I was first introduced to Ker Dukey's work in Pretty Stolen Dolls.  My favorite part of reading is trying to decide how the story ends.  Good luck with that!  Ker Dukey isn't having any part of you being right.  

Evi Devil grew up in hell.  She was finally rescued from her prison when her mother went on a killing rampage in her own home.  Who would have thought that would be what saved Evi.  But, can one really ever be normal after that?  Luckily for Evi, she can't remember her past.  However, she doesn't quite realize how lucky she is until she sets out seeking her memories.  Will her memories be ones that she really wants to remember?  The twists are all over in Devil and some will make your jaw hit the floor.  I loved it and am giving it 5-stars, and I will be rereading Devil again in the future.  Devil is one of those books you could read over and over and still find something new that you missed before.  Again, it's a DARK ROMANCE, so be ready, but it's so worth it!  I love Ker Dukey's work and am always eager to read her next work!
