About Me:

I am a wife, mom of 3 teenagers, and I love to read. I do not limit myself to one genre, but do have some that I prefer. Depending on my mood I will choose a book from RomCom, Romance, Dark Romance, Suspense/Thriller, YA, NA, and SciFi/Fantasy. I would love to share the books I read with you so that you may enjoy them too!

It takes so much courage for an author to put their work out there for the public to read. Then to subject themselves to the opinions of those readers. You will not find disrespectful reviews on this page. Even if a book is not for me, it may be something someone else enjoys. I will not belittle or be nasty to any author, regardless of subject matter. No bashing of person or writing will be tolerated.

My goal by creating this blog is to help authors get their books noticed and to help introduce readers to authors they may not usually read.

Also, please note that any links contained on this website I DO NOT profit from. I do receive advanced reader copies of some of the books I review, but I promise to never let that sway my true feelings on the piece of work.

I am willing to help out as many authors/PAs/promotion companies as I can, but please know that my calendar doesn't always allow for a certain time frame. Please feel free to contact me and I can see if I am able to help. This is a one woman show ;) You can visit my Facebook Page (Like/Follow) at https://www.facebook.com/Reading-Escape-Reviews-279044492594921/ and my email is readingescapereviews@gmail.com

Thank you for stopping by! Oh, and be sure to get on the 2017 Goodreads Reading Challenge. I will be asking periodically for your actual and goal number!

Dirty Ugly Toy by K Webster

Blurb:

Her time is over.
Things are looking up.

She’s dirty and ugly.
He’s wicked but handsome.

Six months to toy with her.
Six months of vacation and a ton of money.

I’ll hurt her beyond repair.
I’ve been through much worse.

She's difficult to control and doesn't obey.
I'm done submitting to anyone or anything in this life.

I should hate her.
I should hate him.

The game has changed.
I will win.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to read and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed

My Review:
Oh my goodness, where to start.  If you aren't familiar with K Webster's work, let me explain that first.  If you are a lover of dark romance, taboo topics, hot and heavy scenes, and mind games, well then she will tickle your fancy.  I absolutely love her!  I only have 2 more books until I have read all of her work.

Braxton Kennedy has a toy fetish.  Except it's not the toys you might be thinking of.  He buys women, and makes them into his toys.  Which is exactly what Jessica gets brought into upon meeting Braxton.  Jessica is hiding from her past, in more ways than one.  She has turned to heroin to numb the pain, and prostitution to pay for her addiction.  She is in a terrible place.  However, will be being owned by Braxton be better than the hell her life it now?

Be prepared, this book is crazy.  I felt every emotion possible while reading this.  It was a total rollercoaster of emotions.  As per usual, K Webster always likes to throw in a jaw dropping twist.  Guess what, you can't, it's impossible to guess her kind of crazy!

There is no way I could give Dirty Ugly Toy less than 5 stars.  I don't usually reread books, unless I need to reacquaint for a series release, but this one I'm sure I will be seeing again.
