Can you really not read this book after that tag line? The answer is no! I was introduced to Author M.E. Carter when she took over another author page I follow. The reason M.E. is super cool is that when she takes over, she doesn't just post. That woman does Facebook Live videos! She did an awesome Q&A and after "meeting" her I knew I had to check out her writing. Plus again with the tag line.
I went into Groupie wanting to hate Tiffany. I'm not going to lie, there were times that I thought she got what was coming to her. In walks Rowen *swoon*. The question is can a slut really change? I will admit some of the scenes were a bit, wow. However, this is a pro sport based book and I'm sure you read the tabloids. So, is it really that unexpected that things like this happen? Did I hate Tiffany as much at the end. No. Did I want to? Yes. Am I dying to see how life plays out for Tiffany and Rowen? YES!!
There are some pretty explicit scenes in Groupie, so if that isn't your thing, beware. I still give Groupie 5 stars because I felt like it was real. I feel like people have pasts, but because they do does that mean they aren't entitled to a future?
I did read the Texas Mutiny Series out of order *gasp*, but if you can start with book 1. They can be read as standalone, but you get a better feel for some of the other characters if you read them in order :)
My review is based on the following scale:
1 star: didn't like it
2 star: it was okay
3 star: liked it
4 star: really liked it
5 star: it was awesome
**this review is based on my opinion of the book Groupie by M.E. Carter. I was in no way paid for my opinion. The link above to buy from Amazon is not a referral link nor is it an affiliate link. I will receive no compensation for you purchasing the book. However I do recommend it :)*
