About Me:

I am a wife, mom of 3 teenagers, and I love to read. I do not limit myself to one genre, but do have some that I prefer. Depending on my mood I will choose a book from RomCom, Romance, Dark Romance, Suspense/Thriller, YA, NA, and SciFi/Fantasy. I would love to share the books I read with you so that you may enjoy them too!

It takes so much courage for an author to put their work out there for the public to read. Then to subject themselves to the opinions of those readers. You will not find disrespectful reviews on this page. Even if a book is not for me, it may be something someone else enjoys. I will not belittle or be nasty to any author, regardless of subject matter. No bashing of person or writing will be tolerated.

My goal by creating this blog is to help authors get their books noticed and to help introduce readers to authors they may not usually read.

Also, please note that any links contained on this website I DO NOT profit from. I do receive advanced reader copies of some of the books I review, but I promise to never let that sway my true feelings on the piece of work.

I am willing to help out as many authors/PAs/promotion companies as I can, but please know that my calendar doesn't always allow for a certain time frame. Please feel free to contact me and I can see if I am able to help. This is a one woman show ;) You can visit my Facebook Page (Like/Follow) at https://www.facebook.com/Reading-Escape-Reviews-279044492594921/ and my email is readingescapereviews@gmail.com

Thank you for stopping by! Oh, and be sure to get on the 2017 Goodreads Reading Challenge. I will be asking periodically for your actual and goal number!

The Irish Prince

by Virginia Nelson Billionaire Dynasties #2

BUY:

SYNOPSIS:

CEO Aiden Kelley’s life of billionaire extravagance is flipped upside down when his ex shows up with a ten-year-old she claims is his. Totally out of his element and losing the control so integral to his success, he needs help. To top it all off, the only constant woman in his life, his executive assistant, has given notice just when he needs her help to survive his newfound fatherhood. Chelsea Houston is an executive assistant, not a nanny. The only person more clueless about kids is her boss. Helping him on a daddy-daughter road trip is her last task before he’ll accept her two weeks’ notice and she can be free of the infuriating man she’s had a crush on for longer than she’d admit. Aiden’s carefully ordered life has never been so disorganized, and he’s suddenly tempted by the things he thought he could never have. Things like love and family. Who knew chaos could be so damn fun?

ABOUT VIRGINIA NELSON

USA Today Bestselling author of The Penthouse Prince Virginia Nelson likes knights in rusted and dinged up armor, heroes that snarl instead of croon, and heroines who can’t remember to say the right thing even with an author writing their dialogue. Her books are full of snark, sex, and random acts of ineptitude – not always in that order. Website | Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | Instagram | Goodreads | Amazon Author Profile

My Review:

Being the first piece of work I have read by Virginia Nelson, I was not sure what to expect.  As I've said before, I'm not a third person POV type of reader.  However, in this book, it worked, the writing was fantastic.

I love that there is something new to catch your attention in each chapter.  Not always major events, but enough to make you not want to put the book down.  This is what happened to me.  I started reading, and all of a sudden, I was done!

Nelson does a great job at giving us the right amount of details.  Enough to keep you reading on, but not so many that the story becomes drawn out.

I am giving The Irish Prince by Virginia Nelson 5-stars.  I figure when it's a one-sitter read, it has to deserve that!  A perfect amount of twists to rile up Aiden and Chelsea.  Romance and relationships are never easy, and Nelson wasn't making it easy for them, at all.  I loved Waverley, I'm pretty sure she was my favorite character.  As a parent, you always find yourself in your child, and she had a lot of Aiden in her.  However, there was enough snark in her to make her seem like she could be part Chelsea too.  The Irish Prince is a great romance, with minor conflict, some hot and heavy (but not extremely graphic) scenes, an all-around 5-star!
