With this being the 3rd book in a series, I must also mention that this is a spin-off series. In order to really grasp the plot of The Struggle you should also read The Covenant Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
I have been following Seth on his Apollyon journey since The Covenant Series. Seth is one of those characters you kind of love to hate. He is arrogant and cocky, but sweet and passionate at the same time. We are catching up with Seth and Josie after the battle of Ares. While they are still on the mission of finding the other demigods to be able to entomb the Titans.
As much as I don't want to, I am giving this book 4 stars. I did like The Struggle, I had been anticipating it's release since The Power was released in February 2016. I had even preordered it. However, it was just missing something for me. I wanted more from it. Don't get me wrong the twists and turns that Jennifer L. Armentrout puts in her books were there, just maybe a bit more predictable than usual. It is a great book, and I still recommend it, especially if you've made the journey this far.
This book was rated based on this scale:
1 star: didn't like it
2 star: it was okay
3 star: liked it
4 star: really liked it
5 star: it was awesome
