Title: Educating Dr. Mayfield
Series: Sterling University Book Three
Author: Rebecca Heflin
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: September 5, 2017

Creative writing professor, Dr. Delaney Driscoll, has an ambitious plan: establish a new degree in romantic fiction. There’s just one problem, and his name is Dr. Devon Mayfield.
Devon, the gorgeous, uptight, all-business college dean and newest member of the curriculum committee thinks Delaney’s proposed degree is useless and a waste of university resources. What’s worse, he convinces the rest of the committee to follow his lead.
Delaney is instantly attracted to Devon’s Darcy-like broodiness—until he stands in the way of her career-long goal. And like Austen’s famous character, Devon’s first impression of her is far from flattering. But even as the two clash over academic philosophies, Delaney becomes the teacher and Devon the student in a remedial course on love.
In the end, can Delaney convince Devon that her effervescent love of life is exactly what he needs to forget the pain of his past and embrace a future with her?
Delaney is out to lunch with her best friends when she spots Mr. Tall, Dark, and Brooding. Little did she know that Mr. TDB is now the Dean of Sterling, and the person Delaney will be answering to. Upon their meeting you can tell that Devon seems to be a bit snobby or high and mighty. Delaney is very laid back and go with the flow. Throughout the story Delaney is a very strong female lead and doesn't take much guff from anyone. Devon is very stubborn, yet compassionate.
I liked Devon and Delaney's story a lot. I am giving Educating Dr. Mayfield 4 stars. I really enjoyed the story line and the light banter between the two of them. I loved how Delaney pushed Devon's limits a little and made him feel things he thought he didn't deserve or was incapable of feeling. There was a few times where the back and forth felt a little drawn out, but overall I really enjoyed Educating Dr. Mayfield.
