Title: Taking Avery
Co Written By: D.H Sidebottom & Ker Dukey
Release Date: September 20th
When a reckless act upsets the balance between two MC clubs, everyone is fair game in the war that erupts.
Avery belongs to Lilith’s Army now, after being taken against her will, but she isn't just anyone, she's a Cutter's MC Princess, and they don't take kindly to people taking what's theirs.
As Avery’s life starts to spiral out of control, she finds that her only hope of survival is to put her trust in the man she doesn’t trust at all. The only man that can bring destruction to not only both clubs, but also to her heart.
When the fallout reaches beyond just the two clubs, the consequences bring death, devastation, and chaos for everyone.
The dynamics of both clubs change forever in the wake that follows. Fate isn’t done teaching Avery that life isn’t always better with the devil you know sometimes it’s with the devil you don’t.
My Review of Taking Avery
Wow, this book is incredible! The co-writing is seamless between D.H. Sidebottom and Ker Dukey. There are some scenes that may trigger emotions in some readers.
Avery is a Cutter's MC Princess, meaning that she is the daughter to the club president. However, she is treated as anything but a princess. Being under her daddy's thumb all of the time has turned her rebellious and after a night of bad decisions she's not just under daddy's thumb anymore.
Slade is the Sargent of Arms for Lilith's Army MC. His dad (Tank) is the club president. After an unfortunate incident in his youth, Slade has a complete resistance to love and marriage. His brother Brenner is 10 gallons of crazy in a 5 gallon bucket.
When their paths cross, Slade and Avery are put into a situation that doesn't please anything. But, both being MC club children, they know that keeping the peace between clubs is the most important. The supporting characters in Taking Avery round out the story and it will be interesting to see what the future holds.
As I said in the beginning of my review, the writing between the two authors is seamless. I loved Taking Avery. It is written from Slade and Avery's POVs. Taking Avery was an all-consuming read that make me cranky when I had to put it down. I am looking so forward to the 2nd book in the Lilith's Army MC series!

My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made of light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.
When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.
